Josh Howard was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Having a home grown advantage means that Josh is very knowledgeable about Toronto and the surrounding areas, whether it be condo's, townhouses or single family homes. Josh has also spent much of his younger years in Ontario's Cottage country, giving him a solid foundation of knowledge on rural property's.
Throughout his career, he has proven himself to be a talented, results oriented professional that brings over 15 years of Entrepreneurial and Management accomplishments to the Real Estate Industry. Josh has, on a number of occasions, been recognized by his peers as a highly organized manger and coach; able to quickly assess needs and provide tools and resources to solve difficult problems and make decisions.
Before becoming an agent with Forest Hill Real Estate, Josh has been either the Owner or Managing Partner of numerous organizations, from Management Consulting to Advertising Signage & Display, as well as a Communications start up company. Throughout this diverse career, Josh has always maintained a keen eye for Real Estate, and has either directly or indirectly owned a number of investment properties in the past. So becoming a Real Estate Agent felt like a natural fit for him.
Throughout the years Josh has received numerous awards including in 2010 Outstanding Mentor of the Year Award for Ontario, 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and was nominated for the Canadian Mentor of the Year (through the Business Development Bank of Canada). In 2013 Josh had the great pleasure of being invited to sit as a panel judge for the Enactus Canada Regional Exposition / TD Bank Entrepreneurship Challenge, and the Enactus Canada National Exposition – Final Round, Student Entrepreneur Competition. In 2015, Josh has once again been called to panel the Final Round of Competition, Enactus Canada National Student Entrepreneur Competition.
Josh is also an active sitting Board Member of Solidarity in Action (SIA), an International Aid Organization providing community development, education, health & hygiene programs to developing regions throughout Peru & Ecuador.
In his spare time, Josh is an avid supporter of The Princess Margaret Hospital Cancer Foundation, and the Heart & Stroke Foundation, by annually participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer & the Ride for Heart, and has raised over $15,000 for the foundations. He also enjoys all things Canadian; boating, fishing, cottaging, skiing and snowshoeing. He's been an resident of Toronto's Harbourfront community for 20+ years now.
